Palette

photo: Ashridge, April 2011
A blue haze carpet,
untrod by deerstealth
or brandished hoof,
silently fanfares
the coming of warmer days.

We wander this palette,
through sunlit trees,
wary of indiscriminate footprint
upon such beauty,
dazzled by colour.
The abundant blush of blue
sways in time to the conjuration
of occasional breezes,
as the tuneful breath of God
sweeps through the woodland
with a melody of care.

Beatutiful, Keith! Reminds of moments I have had growing up in the Oregon woods with my folks. Perfect description. I particularly like "melody of care."
Beautiful.
